We opened our hospital in July of 2000 and are associated with Tupelo Small Animal Hospital, P.A. (Dr. Glenn Thomas and Dr. Stephen King).

Dr. John D. Morris, a Tupelo native with deep roots originating in Saltillo, operates Saltillo Small Animal Hospital, P. A. He earned his Doctorate in veterinary medicine from Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. He has a professional interest in avian and exotic medicine and surgery. He and his wife, Lauren, have three dogs, five cats, and a plethora of birds. They have been blessed with two sons, Quin and Richard who are four and three respectively.

Working with Dr. Morris is a professionally trained staff of veterinary technicians, kennel technicians, receptionists, as well as a full-time groomer who all offer a full variety of services. These services include preventative medicine, health examinations, laboratory testing, x-rays, surgeries, dental work, boarding, bathing, and grooming. Dr. Morris also provides care for avian and exotic animals (birds, reptiles, rodents, etc.) and has a license for rehabilitating wildlife.

Our hospital and staff honor ourselves with treating your pet as if they were our own. We pride ourselves with going the extra mile to satisfy our clients and their loved ones with constant loving care and compassion.
